Thank you for your interest in Tech Valley Summer Camp!
Through Tech Valley Summer Camp 2008, you can help engage our next
generation in the study of math, science and technology, help build
wonder in our region's future workforce and help showcase the promise
of Tech Valley to our youth. The camp, in its fourth year, is a
Capital Region BOCES and Questar III cooperative program.
The week-long immersion (July 14 - 18)) will give 24 local middle-school
students, drawn from seven counties, a hands-on opportunity to work
with local businesses that have included WMHT, GE Global Research, the Center for Functional Genomics, Evident Technology, M+W Zander, the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, and Vicarious
Visions. The students will work side-by-side
with professionals to learn about such fields as alternative energy, nanotechnology, biotechnology,
advanced materials and information technology.
